Extracellular matrix: A regenerative conduit in dentistry

نویسندگان

چکیده

Periodontal disease causes tooth loss by destroying the attachment system and supporting tissues. therapy seeks to not only halt advancement of periodontal disease, but also repair lost structures caused progression. Extracellular matrix (ECM) is a complex three-dimensional network made up an array multidomain macromolecules organised in cell/tissue-specific manner that serves as structural scaffold formation supramolecular assemblies tissue architecture regulate cell growth differentiation, thereby providing suitable biochemical biomechanical microenvironment for regeneration structures. This article's goal provide simplified concise understanding structure components ECM, well shed light on its utility regenerative conduit field regeneration.

Extracellular Vesicles in Regenerative Medicine, a Brief Review

Extracellular vesicles were initially known as cellular waste carriers, while recent studies demonstrate that extracellular vesicles play important biological roles in all aspects of life-from single cells to mammalians. Their pathophysiological roles in some diseases like cancer are being decoded. Extracellular vesicles are divided into some classes and there are different strategies to isolat...

Regenerative Perspective in Modern Dentistry

This review aims to trace the contour lines of regenerative dentistry, to offer an introductory overview on this emerging field to both dental students and practitioners. The crystallized depiction of the concept is a translational approach, connecting dental academics to scientific research and clinical utility. Therefore, this review begins by presenting the general features of regenerative m...

Regenerative Dentistry: Animal Model for Regenerative Endodontology.

BACKGROUND Ectopic tissue has been observed frequently in human root canal specimens when cell homing studies were performed at the dorsum of rodents. In contrast, pulp-like tissue formed when immature teeth were implanted on top of the rat calvaria. It was surmised, yet not tested, that the implantation site might affect tissue ingrowth. METHODS Four root sections from human immature molars ...

Extracellular matrix dynamics in development and regenerative medicine.

The extracellular matrix (ECM) regulates cell behavior by influencing cell proliferation, survival, shape, migration and differentiation. Far from being a static structure, the ECM is constantly undergoing remodeling--i.e. assembly and degradation--particularly during the normal processes of development, differentiation and wound repair. When misregulated, this can contribute to disease. ECM as...

Mesenchymal dental stem cells in regenerative dentistry

In the last decade, tissue engineering is a field that has been suffering an enormous expansion in the regenerative medicine and dentistry. The use of cells as mesenchymal dental stem cells of easy access for dentist and oral surgeon, immunosuppressive properties, high proliferation and capacity to differentiate into odontoblasts, cementoblasts, osteoblasts and other cells implicated in the tee...
